Wipe polished metal or stainless steel surfaces with a damp cloth. Do not use commercial or heavy-duty polishes or waxes, as they may scratch or damage the surface finish. Recommended polishing products include Brasso, Simichrome, and Flitz; these can be applied safely even by inexperienced users, unless the polished surface has a protective wax seal coat. These polishes will remove wax during the polishing process, so re-waxing is required for metal surfaces that need sealing protection.
For glass and crystal components, clean by wiping with a soft damp cloth or additive-free glass cleaner. Apply glass cleaner to a soft cloth rather than directly onto the surface, to avoid overspray that may damage adjacent finishes.
